Exclusions

  • Frozen lines, any tanks or appliances, lines that have failed a proactive inspection or test when no operational failure has occurred, branch lines, remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials, any sections/parts not installed properly, repairs or replacement protected under other coverage, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). If costs on covered repairs exceed the benefit limit, you pay the difference. You will not be reimbursed for repairs performed by anyone not authorized by SLWA Insurance Services. Additional exclusions apply.

Eligibility: This description of coverage, exclusions and conditions is not the actual contract; the actual contract will be sent to you within approximately 10 business days after we receive your order. To be eligible, you must own the residential single structure and the land it’s on. You are not eligible if your home is a recreational vehicle, intended to be moved, or used for commercial purposes; you know of any current problems with your line at enrollment; your line was not installed per code; or your entire line is shared with a 3rd party or covered by an association.
Benefit Details: Coverage provides, up to the applicable benefit limit, to repair or replace the following for which you have sole responsibility, that has experienced an operational failure and is damaged due to normal wear and tear, not accident or negligence: the exterior water line from your utility’s responsibility or external wall of your well casing to the water meter or main shut-off valve inside your home. Repair or replacement of non-functioning stop boxes, shut-off valves, pressure reducing valves and backflow prevention devices is also covered. Technicians must have safe access to the work area.
Not covered: Frozen lines, any tanks or appliances, lines that have failed a proactive inspection or test when no operational failure has occurred, branch lines, remediating or notifying you of mold or hazardous materials, any sections/parts not installed properly, repairs or replacement protected under other coverage, and damage from accidents, negligence or otherwise caused by you, others, wildlife or unusual circumstances (such as natural disasters). Making a Service Call: You can make a service call immediately after your plan starts, which is 30 days after your form is processed. Upon renewal/restart (if applicable), you can make a service call immediately.
Cancellation: Cancel your plan any time by calling SLWA Insurance Services at 1-844-257-8796 or visiting www.slwofa.com/cancel. If you cancel within 30 days before your plan start date, you will not be charged. If you cancel within 30 days after the plan start date, you will get a full refund (less benefits paid). If you cancel 31 or more days after the plan start date, you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid). Upon renewal/restart, you can cancel any time and you will get a pro-rata refund (less benefits paid).
Renewal: The plan is annual. Unless you cancel, your plan automatically renews annually at the then-current renewal price with your same payment terms.
